From June 12th 2018 to July 30th 2019, the Roblox network was under a major DDoS attack from a group called "Apophis Squad". This group was demanding that Roblox pay 10 million US dollars into their Bitcoin account or they would continue to perform DDoS attacks on the site. They also threatened to kidnap staff members and steal their hair if ROBLOX declined their offer. According to Roblox, this group caused 3.7 million dollars worth of damage.[103] The group also began sabotaging ROBLOX's YouTube channel by uploading offensive videos and ads towards users who clicked on it, which caused the platform to ban the channel in July 2019.

On September 4, 2018 3:00 PM, ROBLOX released a new game called "Roblox Shops". This game is similar to Roblox High School and Friends, only that it's a shop simulator. The gameplay involves shopping and using items in order to get more money as you play the game. The game was started by the company's developer and the first player of the game was the CEO.

I have always had problems with this game and there are many other people who do too. Like the fact that you can't change your name when your in a group with a lot of people and it makes me very mad when I can't change it because I feel like I am stuck with the name that I have. This also happens when one of my friends gets on my head and they change their name to a bad word which makes me really mad because if someone else was in the group with us then they would be able to see that bad word in big letters. It also makes me mad for a different reason because I really like my name. Anyway, I hope these bugs get fixed in ROBLOX or the next update of ROBLOX.

There are moderators but there should be more because some do not care about these problems or do not log on to Roblox at all times.
